Hello Everyone!

First, the reunion was a blast.  Thanks Vic, Cathy and Dee and everyone for your hard work.  I had a terrific time.

Now for some personal history.   I enlisted in the Marine Corps shortly after graduation.  I received training in electronics and computer repair while stationed at Mare Island, California.  I also married my high school sweetheart, Karen Shunk, class of 1971, while stationed on Mare Island.    After four years I got out,  went to college, and taught middle school science.  Then I reenlisted in the Marine Corps and spent the next 26 years traveling the globe, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Thailand, Korea, Australia, and 12 years in Japan.  I was able to take the family with me to most places.  I retired from the Marines last year as a Major and settled down in Guyton, a rural community 30 minutes northwest of Savannah, Georgia.  Karen and I enjoy hanging out with our four grandchildren there, two granddaughters and two grandsons.  Two of our sons live in the Savannah area and our youngest son is a Machinist Mate in the Navy at Charleston.  Our oldest son is a Major in the Air Force.  He and his family, our other two granddaughters, live in the midwest.  Karen and I volunteered as English teachers during our 5 year stay on Okinawa and we have many good friends there.  Okinawa is also where we both became karaoke addicts.

Peace to you all.

WOW!! What an awesome time! Thank you Vic and girls for all your hard work in getting the reunion together! And for those who got the prizes and volunteers that picked up the class mates; thank you for what you did. I didn't want the night to end.  Can't wait till we meet again.  So.. Vic how many name badges did you end up getting???? It was so good to see everybody, Laura, Connie, Sandra, Debbie, Sue and so many others...I had such a fun time! Thanks again! God Bless all of you!
For those who don't remember who I am...My nickname was PengyPoo...thanks to Tom Washburn and a bunch of other friends...
I got married in 1978, and in 1986 gave birth to an awesome son, Steven. I have been divorced for over 15 years, dated here and there.  No committments at this time, I am currently working as a Senior (ages 55 and older) Sports Coordinator for the Warren Parks and Recreation Dept. in Warren.

From Debbie (Lana Debra):

Not sure why, but woke up this morning wondering if there might be a class reunion this summer, and was so pleased to find the website!  Thanks to all those who have worked tirelessly to create a website and reunion weekend!  So sorry I can't be there, as I've got a 50th anniversary party that I just can't miss (I'm in the band!!!).

I enjoyed reading comments and seeing pictures.  Can't believe it's been 40 years!  Obviously, I enjoyed Cousino and Warren Cons Schools in general--we got a great education.  I continued it at MCCC, then WMU, then Oakland U, then EMU, and finally 8 years at UM!  When I got my PhD, I moved to the Washington, DC area.  I've been at the University of Delaware since 1994, and still love learning and teaching.  I'm a professor and I do research on illicit drugs and crime.

I've never married or had kids--I kept that vow I made at age 16!  BUT...I have been with the same man for 16 years, and he has 3 children--the baby just graduated from college.

I still get to Michigan regularly as my sister lives in St. Clair Shores, and we own 2 log cabins together in Houghton Lake.  It would be wonderful to see old friends!
